Far Infrared Light
Far Infrared Light (FIR) is a part of the natural light spectrum of sunlight minus the skin damaging UV. It is a form of radiant energy that heats objects directly through a process called conversion.
Far-infrared light penetrates the skin up to 4 centimeters deep (about 1-1/2 inches), increasing blood flow and local temperature. FIR literally heats from the inside out. The penetrating infrared energy brings nutrients and oxygen to the soft tissue region being treated and at the same time stimulates the removal of accumulated toxins.
Far infrared light:
- Increases the healing response especially in chronic conditions
- Improves blood circulation
- Helps reduce chronic inflammation and local edema
- Eases joint pain and stiffness
- Eliminates fats, chemicals and toxins in the body through perspiration
- Relaxes muscles and increase flexibility
- Relieves pain
By using far infrared heat as opposed to traditional heating methods, the heat penetrates deeper into the body without the skin discomfort of heating pads and hot towels.
