The BBL technology is virtually painless. The pulsed light targets the hair follicles, damaging them without injuring the skin. Results of laser hair reduction treatments depend on factors such as skin type, and color and coarseness of the hair. For the BBL to provide optimum results, the color of the hair being treated must be darker than the color of the skin.
After the first treatment good responders should see a reduction in hair of about 20%. After six laser hair removal treatments good responders can see a reduction in hair averaging from 60% to 95%. The small percentage of hairs that do grow back are usually finer and lighter in color.
