Cutting-edge technology used at the Wellness Clinic includes broad-band
light (BBL) for photo-rejuvenation and hair removal, Sculptra,

At the Wellness Clinic we offer a highly sophisticated Broad Band Light
(BBL) technology for quick and efficient hair reduction. Laser
hair reduction is an effective method for achieving the silky smooth
skin while saying goodbye to the razor! Results
of BBL hair removal treatments depend on factors such as color of the
hair, exposure to the sun, and coarseness of the hair. After each
treatment, most patient can experience
from 20% to
30% reduction in hair growth.
Permanent reduction of up to 90% can be achieved. The
small percentage of hairs that do grow back are usually much finer and
lighter in color. The BBL technology is more comfortable and very quick
compared to many other technologies available on the market. From six to eight treatments are recommended. Some patients may require additional treatments to achieve optimal results. More Laser Hair Removal Information

Dramatic improvements can be accomplished with little or no "downtime".
Procedures can take from 15 minutes to less than an hour. Most patients find photo
facials fairly painless and normally feel only a slight tingling
or biting sensation during each pulse of light.
From four to six treatments, three weeks apart, are recommended for optimal
results. Some patients notice a considerable improvement after a single
Photo Facial procedure. For pigmented skin and rosacea, the Photo Facial is often combined with Microdemabrasion to improve results. A consultation with our clinical aesthetician can determine if you are a good candidate for photo therapy.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion leaves little or no redness after treatment, restoring
your skin's youthfulness and resilience in less than an hour.
The latest
Microdermabrasion technology uses diamond tipped wands to
remove layers of dead skin cells by polishing the skin
in
a very controlled
and precise manner. Removing the dead skin leaves a smoother surface and
promotes new skin growth.
Tattoo Removal
Tattooing has become a very popular
way for people to express their individuality. It is an ancient art form
dating back as far as the Stone Age (12,000 BC). Millions of people around the world have tattoos. There are basically two types: professional tattoos and amateur tattoos. Professional tattoos generally contain more ink that is deeply placed in the skin. These tattoos may require a number of treatment sessions to be removed. Amateur tattoos usually contain carbon basedA special Q-switched laser selectively targets the pigmented particles of the tattoo with a brief (billionths of a second) single pulse of light. This destroys the pigment without damage to the adjacent skin. The laser pulse fractures the ink into smaller particles, which are eliminated through the surface of the skin, or gradually removed by the body's scavenger white blood cells. The tattoo fades over a number of weeks after each treatment. Re-treatment is suggested in six to eight week intervals. Due to the infinite variety of tattoos and the mixing of inks, it is impossible to predict exactly how many treatments are necessary to optimally fade a tattoo. Typically, amateur tattoos clear after two to six treatments, whereas professional tattoos can require eight to 12 or more treatments. |
